“A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
Proverbs 18:24 ESVhttps://www.bible.com/bible/59/pro.18.24.esv
Truth be told I stopped doing parking and guest services at church as pretty sure I cracked a rib, chest bumping a brother at church. That habit started as a more masculine version of giving a hug to a complete stranger walking into the church.
See we all walk into church and have some nice greetings, but what if this is true and we are all going to heaven, seriously heaven, and going to be with each other for eternity. Sorry I think that needs more than a fist bump (a sorry Covid handshake).
I love my friends - we give each other crap, we hug, we smoke cigars witn a bourbon after a good meal or day training. We know each other’s “stuff”, they have pounded the table at the count of three at my table, their kids sports on Saturday matter.
So we invite our friends into life changing events like TJC battlefields, we swallow our tongue and be quiet as they share their EMAW quiet time - maybe boring the crap out of you till you hear a thought you couldn’t put words to. Real life, in each other’s space, learning to trust and know who will be there when it counts. Real not virtual.
So thank you brothers who have trained with us, write with us, go the extra mile doing EMAW. You are friends, wing-man, Battle-buddies. You are a real friend.
Daily battle order - who is a real friend to you and do they know you love them. Not going to tell you what to do- your a man so go do it. Hey BC - pretty sure it was you that cracked a rib one day- love y’all the more for it
