“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33
This week we will be talking about who is in God’s Kingdom; their positions, titles, and responsibilities. As you will learn, all are different with different callings. Never dull, always dynamic!
Jesus speaks a lot about the Kingdom through parables. Different parables, different stories for different situations but always about the same thing; The Kingdom. Jesus even taught us to pray about it, “…Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Our TJC Creed is full of affirmations about being a Kingdom man so, Why Kingdom?
I’ve developed an interest in football over the past few years. Mostly college football but at this time of the year the NFL playoffs are exciting. As the seasons wind down for the pro teams and they start looking at the drafts it’s funny to hear the various coaches say what type of player they’re “shopping for”. What position are they lacking that they can build up with a better player, even a younger one. I believe that’s exactly what His Kingdom on earth is like. We are all a part of the kingdom on earth and we are being developed for different positions in the kingdom. It’s reassuring we’re not going to be traded or cut, rather we’re going to be developed into someone indispensable to the kingdom!
Daily Battle Order:
Embrace your development! It’s training from the Holy Spirit and once you seek it and receive it, and continue to practice by walking in it then “all of these things will be added unto you” and that will make your role in the kingdom invaluable!
