Where Is The Battlefield: Our Minds

This week we will be going into the battlefields we face as Kingdom men. Brace yourselves for what you will see and the actions required of you for Victory!

When I was married and we’d be driving somewhere and there was silence because I stopped talking my ex-wife would ask me, “what are you thinking about?” Much of the time I would answer, “nothing” and that was true. However, much of the time, what I was thinking about were sexual fantasies and vain imaginations that I couldn’t share with her; especially if our children were in the car with us. That answer, nothing, was the source of arguments between us because I failed to understand that to her, I was rejecting her.

The truth was I enjoyed my thoughts of fantasy and imagination more than anything else. It was a long time before I came to understand, really understand, that as a Believer, I need to meditate on God’s word day and night. It is a weapon of my warfare! It is what I must use to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Even now, when tempted with those fantasies and vain imaginations, or when I see something that triggers those thoughts, if I don’t speak God’s word, I fail to use the weapons at hand and the outcome is not victory.

Daily Battle Order:

We are commanded to take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God and stand! This is tough stuff men! What are you thinking about? Are you thinking about victory? Your weapon is at hand, for God’s sake and your own pull the trigger! Speak the word today! The Victory can be yours!
