The Divine Setup

Ordinarily we complete the title of a DBO saying via TJC. You will never see an author’s name associated with anything from TJC. We say via as all we do is inspired by the Holy Spirit.  But at Easter and how it all is divinely setup, we dare not to put TJC on that line.

“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive."  Genesis 5:20

From the beginning God has been orchestrated everything in His glory.

And throughout the journey men have and keep failing.  Each time seems like a set back, but “through everything - God keeps working everything for good, for them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28).

Nowhere is this more evident then the holy week we are stepping into - where a king returns to adoring crowd, to them turning their back on Him, the esteemed religious leaders despising Him, His brutal crucifixion and His death.

It appears to be the biggest setback there could possibly be for those seeking freedom and a life after God.

But what if it was all a setup ? We know that answer, but we must step into the unknown this coming week to realize it wasn’t just history but your reality.

Where has your life felt like it crumbled? Maybe it was your dad leaving and parents divorcing. Maybe it was an injury and all of a sudden what you enjoyed doing just stopped. Maybe it was a doctor sharing you have cancer?

Everyone of us have felt those moments, incredibly painful setbacks.

But those are not the end of the story, they become the points in life where you change and seek God’s purpose and our absolute need for Him.

I’ve been that man that failed my family, and years of guilt. How I imagined life would evolve and how I would age is far different. Now cancer free, but still experiencing changes, I keep  coming back to one thing- God is in control, and I’m not, and I desperately need Him.

Daily Battle Order- Step into passion week reading the biblical accounts, watch Mel Gibson’s “The Passion”. It was a real man, who we base all of our faith upon. It was a divine setup by God for us to celebrate freedom this Easter.
