The mission of the Joshua Commission is: “The Kingdom is at War. You were created for Victory. The Joshua Commission Disciples Kingdom Men.” The writers of The Joshua Commission are all Christian men, members of their local churches, committed to live by a creed, and all have recognized that augmented training for men is necessary. The writers (in partnership with the Holy Spirit and in a collaborative editing process we call “via”) produce “Daily Battle Orders”, a daily message that is sent to men.
A Daily Battle Order (DBO) is your reminder that you are at war. Every DBO leads with a piece of scripture, which is your sword. Learn your sword well, and pick it up daily. We then take a piece of that truth from scripture and tell you our story. These are war stories from the author's past that are shared to describe past battles, give strategies for dealing with the harshness of the spiritual war we are engaged in, and inspire you to charge headlong onto the field of victory. We talk about real, practical issues in our world and our lives that we need to view from a Godly perspective. We end with a very practical step, the Battle Order itself, that you can take today that will bring you closer to God and closer to the victory he has for you. Through this continuing process, The Joshua Commission Disciples Kingdom Men. Not everything you might read in a DBO is pretty or perfect, but it is all authentic to the messiness of war. Whether you are a veteran of many battles or a new recruit, a DBO is for you as a daily reminder to put on your armor…a reminder to take up your sword…a reminder that your sword is deathly sharp…and that the victory of Jesus Chirst over sin and death are yours to claim!
