2 Corinthians 12:9
“Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.”
Psalm 34:5 ESV
At times I have wondered if my joy for life and energetic approach was a mistake or needed to be curbed for a more leveled and serious undertone for the difficult nature of life. There have been brief moments where I have let negativity fester far longer and the parasitic effect it had was worse than the reality. For me particularly, I have realized that living with a smile and being happy comes from the daily gratification that God has given me , yet having a hunger and thirst to grow my relationship with him and elevate my circumstances with the one life I have been truly blessed with to do better for myself and my family comes with a journey of failures and success and of different magnitudes. I was just recently selected for the Warrior Games 2026 Team and as my name was surprisingly called by our coach, I was given an adjective that describes my character, “Always Smiling”. I have been known to laugh and smile as a common characteristic of my persona and that is because I choose to look to God and not choose negativity to define me even if I experience unfavorable situations.
Daily Battle Order:
Put a name to the actual thing that is weighing you down. Pray to God to lift that burden, so that you can experience joy!
