Self-Proclaimed Christian Shares #HailSatan

via TJC

“I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.”

—‭‭1 John 7

A friend of my wife’s has fallen from her faith. A couple years ago, Kim (pseudonym) reported to us she had been “deconstructing” her faith. In my experience, everyone who “deconstructed their faith” back then tore down everything they knew about God and replaced it with… nothing. But that’s a tangent for another day. Despite our perspective on where Kim was/is at with the Lord, she still claims to be a Christian, and we do see small samples of spiritual fruit every now and then.

Recently, Kim reposted a rant on social media that was critical of certain Christians. What my wife and I found most interesting within the post’s caption, however, was a hashtag embedded between a dozen others:

God warns us of deceivers and antichrists in today’s verse, but let’s look at what He says next to see how we should react to them:

“Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully… do not take them into your house or welcome them.”

—2 John 8, 10b

How does the Holy Spirit command Kingdom Men to react to deceivers and antichrists?

  • Watch out.

  • Don’t lose the faith.

  • Don’t take them in your house.

  • Don’t welcome them.

Daily Battle Order:

“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” LOVE your enemy by proclaiming the truth to them & to yourself: that Jesus Christ

  • came in the flesh,

  • lived a perfect life,

  • died,

  • was buried,

  • resurrected,

  • and is coming again.

Identify those in your life that do not acknowledge Jesus in this way. Do not welcome them to places, especially in your heart or mind, they ought not dwell in. Keep that armor of God on at all times, Soldier of Heaven.

Oh, and don’t indulge or endorse anything that advocates for “hailing Satan.”
