When first looking into 2021, the theme for TJC has been “Awaken Kingdom Men”. Now towards the end of the year, for this author 2021 feels like it has slapped me in the face multiple times and when turned around, kicked me in the butt. Ok, I’m awake and God has my focussed attention. Though scared, those are battle scars and have seen victory upon victory this year.
For TJC, the Daily Battle Orders has addressed awakening of Body, Soul, & Spirit. For the Body, personally by embracing the F.I.T.(Frequency, Intensity, Time) challenge, I’ve been exercising muscles that have been dormant for too long.
Considering the Mind and the Soul, TJC introduced several topics describing key battlefields in society, tools of resistance, and a deep wrestling on current topics that could divide christian brethren, if not for the light of focussing on first principles. We need Christ’s light, for His light keeps us awake and on the right path.
Although not visible, touchable in this physical world, our ultimate fight is Spiritual. It is from taking and holding the Spiritual high ground that we win or lose, even in this physical realm. TJC introduced spiritual tools, which many of us have strengthened and used more effectively this year. We fight in the light, and the darkness must flee.
We don’t fight alone. This past year’s awakening has grown and extended the fellowship among the men of TJC, drawing from the intensity of Battlefield events and sustained through raw genuineness in cohorts.
For this author, 2021 has been an intense, busy, and productive year. In the end (literally) it is the Advent series that has most touched and renewed my soul & spirit, soaking in, in a much deeper way, who Christ is for the world, and for me.

2021 is almost over. Through the past is now history, a reflection back can shape and strengthen our way forward. What has been awakened and growing within you for this past year? When in battle there will be cuts and bruises but are you seeing Victory? You are created for Victory!
