For all of us: On May 27, 2024, the United States celebrates Memorial Day to honor those who have given their lives serving in the Armed Forces.
On Memorial Day we also recognize service members who’ve lost their personal battles. As of 2020, 121 veterans end their lives daily. Actual active-duty statistics may be higher. If you are a veteran and are in crisis, please call 988. If you know a service member or veteran who may be struggling, please reach out to them.
Look upon their sacrifice with gratitude, respect, and admiration for their commitment to our nation.
Daily Battle Order: Take a moment during your holiday to remember those who fought, and lost their lives, to secure America’s freedom and defend the interest of democracy all over the world.
If you can lay wreaths at your local veteran’s cemetery, or volunteer in another way to support those who have served in the Armed Forces, please do so. It is a fitting remembrance to serve in memory of those who served and paid the greatest price for our country.
