This week, we are detailing the core activities and processes of TJC.

Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” —Luke 9:62
I will never forget the first time I walked onto the Battlefield with TJC. I had been married for less than a year, and the night before the Battlefield Summit, I had the ugliest argument with my wife that we ever had. I cannot remember what the fight was about—all I know was I blew it, and here I was, standing in the parking lot of the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center surrounded by a couple dozen men who were all strangers to me.
“Tell us a little bit about yourself,” one of the TJC leaders said before we embarked on our day-long endeavor. Little did he know the can of worms he just opened… I think he sensed something was up.
“Well, I’m not doing too hot right now… Yesterday night, I got into an argument with my wife…”
That was all I could say before I broke down. What happened next changed me: The guys in that parking lot laid their hands on me & prayed.
That day, I received something from the Holy Spirit: Strength. The Enemy sought to weaken me in the wake of the mess I caused as a husband who sinned. But the Lord used TJC to strengthen me, to remind me I am created for victory, to encourage me to fight hard for my marriage everyday, to tell me who I really am: a child of God. I learned the biblically-inspired lenses of
Lover,
Teacher,
King,
and Warrior.
I still remember driving home, apologizing to my wife for the argument last night, eagerly sharing everything I learned from the Battlefield that day, especially the four (4) lenses, and praying that night I would use these lenses everyday (never taking off the lens of Lover).
I love today’s Anchor Verse. Understand this, Kingdom Man: If you leverage a TJC Battlefield Summit, you will leave with your hand to the plow looking forward, not backward. You and I were created to victoriously plow that field, even when it appears we’ve blown it! Thank you, God, for TJC’s Battlefield Summits that remind me to keep plowing.
Daily Battle Order: Plan with your family to attend our next Battlefield Summit: October 26th, 2024 at King’s Mountain, NC (40 miles west of Charlotte)!
Keep plowing forward today for God’s Kingdom!
