“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;” Jeremiah 1:5
We’ve seen this verse written in Church nurseries or our baby’s rooms. It means that the Lord has planned for our coming, knows who we will be, and what plan he has for our life. When we begin our formation in our mother’s womb, the Lord hands responsibility over to us for the care of a child.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” Psalm 127:3. I can try to understand why people may rationalize taking a lifeform in place of protecting their own. There is some human nature to survive, and we are prone to fear. This comes down to where you put your faith because your faith is always in something. If you cannot convince someone that there is a God, a Father, who sees you as a precious child, this argument will not take. How can you convince someone of rules and standards if you cannot convince them of the Creator of those rules and standards?
We are blessed with lives that the Lord understands the meaning for, even though we may not. Whether the circumstances are expected or not, it can be daunting. Our minds may not comprehend the answers to some of these questions involving children, but we believe our Lord has all of the answers.
Daily Battle Order:
Embrace the lives that the Lord calls His “children,” who we may not immediately see in the womb. They are a gift to us who must be protected and loved. When someone challenges this, listen, empathize, and love. You may agree to disagree, but you must stand your ground.
