For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. - Ephesians 6:12
I once knew a boy who saw a movie featuring children playing on a Ouija board. He had no money, so he took an old board game, cut it in half, and wrote the Ouija board’s lettering on the back. He took a plastic top from a coffee tin and cut a hole in it. He convinced a friend to play.
After some hours, that plastic top was flying around the board, faster than he could read. So, they played on the board, every day, for months.
It said that it was a guardian angel. It knew all his friends. It made jokes about things that happened in school - things it could only know if it were there. It told him things that it claimed to be secrets from heaven and hell. One day, it said that he should go deep into the woods - that there were three ancient trees there where they would finally meet in person. When the boy casually mentioned the name of Jesus Christ, the coffee top shuddered and stuttered. The boy did it again, and the “angel” asked him to stop.
So, the boy knew, and he grew very afraid. The next day, they confronted the demon. The demon said its final words to them: “F. You. F. You F. You. This is the last era. My era.” Then, the coffee top drew a pentagram on the board and flew off the board and across the room. Despite being plastic, it dented the drywall. For years afterward, the boy was plagued by dreams and strange occurrences.
All around us, a battle is waging. The world of angels and fallen angels is real. Know your rights. The name of Jesus Christ and the precious blood of his sacrifice works 100% of the time.
We might ask that boy and confirm this, but the boy is dead. In his place is a new man who abides in the shadow of the almighty: a knowing disciple of the son of God, Jesus Christ.
DAILY BATTLE ORDER
Both the Kingdom and the counterfeit kingdom are actively recruiting you. Choose wisely. There are consequences. In John 16:33, Jesus Christ promises “[T]ake heart; I have overcome the world.” With a full heart, rise up with the name of Christ in your voice and his gospel in your heart. There’s no need to see demons around every corner. Place your eyes on the sacred heart of Christ because your right to do so must be recognized every single time - every single time.
