Every Man a Warrior

via TJC

““Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:36-38‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.”

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The Joshua Commission disciples Kingdom Men. In the early days of TJC battlefield excursions and Battle Orders were our only tools but we recognized we needed something in addition to them to train men at a deeper level. We wanted to give men greater skills to love God with all their heart, soul and mind. A training resource called Every Man a Warrior has become that tool for us. It is the next step for a man who wants to grow even deeper alongside other men from TJC.

Every Man a Warrior teaches 3 basic skills that every Christian man needs. It trains us in how to spend daily time with God in His Word (Quiet Time is a common term for this), to become a man of the Word including learning to memorize scripture, and to become a deep man of prayer (beyond just a good dinner prayer). It is perfect for a new believer and will challenge a seasoned believer to draw closer to God in a very personal way. It also provides a clear way for each of us to be able to go on and train other men. It takes these core skills and sharpens them by applying them to the areas of marriage, raising children, money, work, sexual purity and how to make our lives count. It isn’t hard but it requires a high level of commitment and investment of time.

Daily Battle Order:

Let us help you to sharpen your axe by training you in skills to walk with God, succeed in life and spiritually multiply. These are the core skills of a Kingdom Man if he wants to find victory in the battle and to bring other brothers along with him. Check out everymanawarrior.com to learn more and plan to be part of a group this year. Reach out to chris@everymanawarrior.com, one of our TJC authors, if you have questions or want to join a group in the near future - possibly right after our battlefield excursion at Chickamauga on April 22-24.
