Being a Provider (recap)

via TJC

Our Father in Heaven is the Ultimate Provider of all things. We are His hands and feet, to obey Him and provide to others.

Although I fall short of the Integrity, reliability, and power the Lord possesses. I know that when my earthly flesh fails the Lord loves me and can carry me through when I lean on him and the power of the Holy Spirit to be the provider.

As we wrap up what being a provider means let’s consider all that being a provider entails and consider all we are responsible to provide to our families and those in our area;s of influence by considering the following areas and how we can flesh these out by looking at related scriptures:

-To our household we are to provide structure, order discipline and sustenance. What do your wives and children need to sustain them? Here are some scriptures to dig into  (1 Timothy 5:8; Ephesians 5:25; Proverbs 13:24 & 23:13-14)

-To our children we must provide an example of a Godly work ethic and teach them to walk in righteousness (Deuteronomy 6:7: Proverbs 22:6; 2 Thessalonians 3:10; Colossians 3:23; Ephesians 6:4)

-To our church community, we are responsible to provide a tithe of our Time Talents and Treasure (Malachi 3:10; Matthew 25:14-30)

-To our neighbor and strangers in need we are to provide joyfully out of our abundance as the Lord pours out his Grace generously on us (2 Corinthians 9:7; Matthew 25:35-37)

Daily Battle Order:

Are you overwhelmed when considering ALL that your family needs you to provide? Good, because you were never meant to do it in your own strength. Remind yourself every morning and throughout the day that Our Father in Heaven is the source of all things and stand on His promises. Don’t wait until you are overwhelmed and failing, start everyday leaning on the Lord and seek his provision in all things.
