“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
-Joshua 24:15
This week we look at a snapshot of victory, a godly family and how we can work toward that victory which we will go into more detail about in future battle orders. God has blessed my family with 4 beautiful future men and the hardest part of the family is that, as father, I am responsible. I have the weight of generations worth of consequences in my hands as those I teach can have huge impacts on the world around us either positively or negatively. Christ teaches us to respect and forgive one another allowing for harmony in the family. He teaches us to be selfless and compassionate so we can learn about each other and appreciate each other for our godly qualities. He teaches us to work as a team and build trust in each other as we build trust in God. I know that I cannot adequately teach all that is required of me and I continuously try to rely on God for direction in all the responsibilities in our household and know I must keep my relationship with Christ visibly at the center of our home. Only then can every action be a worthy example of my love, faith and trust in God and I can have confidence that the next generation will have all the tools necessary to choose to serve God.
Daily Battle Order
Today pray for each person in your family and ask for Gods blessing upon them. Ask God for direction on how you can improve in your leadership of your family to help them come to know God better by experiencing Christ through you.
Join us June 11th and learn how knowing the beginning from the end would have helped the armies of the North and the South at The First Battle of Manassas (Bull Run), and how knowing the beginning from the end helps us today to have Victory in our lives.
