“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Matthew 7:21-23
We spent time this month separating good from evil through Jesus. We must understand who Jesus is, as our faith rests upon Him, as we call out to Him.
Jesus’s warning to disciples in Matthew 7:21 causes even the most seasoned disciples deep reflection. On the mount Jesus warned His followers it’s not enough to call upon, even perform miracles in His name, without obedience.
i’ve called upon Jesus thousands of time in prayers , spoke His name over others, but i’m humbled understanding how often I was also being disobedient in my life. I’m going to answer for that disobedience, and trust in His grace. So my call upon Jesus is now sought with humility ( its own lifelong lesson). Jesus I pray “less of me and more of You!”.
Personal request to join me in bold prayer; I have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will have a medical operation next month. We pray and have written Jesus name, in red over cancer, that Jesus’s precious blood covers this in our life. Please make this personal and help strengthen us and share what is going on in your life that we can pray the name of Jesus, for hope and healing. in solidarity with you.
