“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” -James 1:17 ESV
Lord Jesus,
Today we celebrate every good and perfect gift that has come from the Father through You. Our world is always changing and wars rage around us daily, but there is no change in You Lord. You are the same today as You were yesterday, and tomorrow will be no different. Today when our culture is all celebrating the things we are thankful for, we are most thankful for You and Your precious gift of salvation that You bought for us at such a high price. We savor the sweetness of Your Spirit, as we taste fruit that only You can give to us. We declare our victory in You Lord Jesus! Help us remember today those things that are from You; the things that have no shadow from change. And most of all Lord, let us be reflections of Your glory so that we might build men into disciple makers and build Your kingdom. Amen!
