Dear Ever Grateful Friend in Christ,
Yes I had a good day yesterday, and thank you for praying for grace for me & my family.
I trust you too had a good day yesterday, full of grace and possibly full of other things.
So, tell me how are you spending today? Any workouts planned to burn off extra calories?
As I am planning on spending my time today on spending money, I may run into people who are greedy, who cheat, and frankly, who idolize things in this world. As I remember from Paul’s letter read in church,God would have to call us home NOW to be able to avoid people like that.
And I noted that for believers we are held to a standard that stands in contrast to this world, and those are the believers that I am to associate with.
With that in mind, I now feel ready to face the world, no matter what kind of people I may run into today.
Regarding Paul’s letter, I’d like to read it in detail. It is helpful now, and who knows (=God knows) how this letter may be used in future generations.

Daily Battle Order:
If you do go shopping for the holidays, shopping doesn’t have to be about greed and consumerism (=idolizing material things of this world), and certainly not fights over the last flat screen television - leave that to the world.
Ultimately, it is about relationships. No matter who you may run into later today, resolve now to be more like Christ, so that when in the world, you are not just like everyone else and indistinguishable from the rest of the world.
