via TJC Now when it was evening, the disciples came to Jesus and said, “This place is secluded and the hour is already past to eat; send the crowds away, so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” But Jesus said to them, “They do not need to go; you give them something to eat!” - Matthew 14:15-17
The 4 previous DBO’s provided the components for God’s ultimate goal… advancing His Kingdom into the whole world. First the Kingdom impacts your life. You influence your family and they, in turn, infect your community, and communities impact nations.
Jesus proclaimed, “I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice; and they will become one flock, with one shepherd.”
We were created to be joint-heirs in the family business: The advancement of His Kingdom into ALL the world. He wants you to ‘give them something to eat’, with the ultimate goal of reaching all the nations. Jesus’ last words before ascending back to the Father were a powerful command:
“...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.” - Acts 1:7-8
Daily Battle Order:
You have been called to look beyond your own life, actively avoiding the temptation to be self-absorbed and short-sighted regarding your command. We were created to enjoy our Lord forever AND be contagious, doing our part in spreading the Kingdom into the whole world. Choose this day, Whom you will serve.
