What Does Victory Look Like – Direction

“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16

Last week we dealt with High Ground. This week we define what Victory looks like. Some men never get to the high ground, some men have very few victories, the reason for both of these is the same…Discipleship! Discipleship itself won't bring Victory however, you'll begin to walk the Ancient Path with other brothers (and sisters) seeking Victory and that is what Discipleship is all about!

One of my favorite jokes is the one about an airline pilot who made this announcement to his passengers, “ Folks, this is your pilot; I have some good news and I have some bad news. The bad news is our radar is out and we have no idea where we are going. The good news is we’re making better time than ever!”

If you don’t know where you’re going you’re not going to know victory. Discipleship provides the direction. John tells us, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith.” 1 John 5:4

My faith is the victory that overcomes the world? I’ve never thought about it like that! So, how do I share my faith? How do I share my faith which is the victory that overcomes the world? “…ask where the good way is and walk in it,” Jeremiah 6:16 This is what true discipleship is all about, walking with my brothers on the Ancient path which leads to Victory.

Daily Battle Order:

Are you going it alone? Do you know where you’re going? Are you on the Ancient path? Jesus called 12 men to be his disciples. He walked with them, did life with them, laughed and prayed with them, and trained them to share their faith. Did they have Victory? Absolutely!

Stop flying in circles and get a true direction. Get on the Ancient path! Have the victory that discipleship brings. Join us today!
