The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5
This week we are writing about how we, individually, are growing in faith and applying that growth to every-day life situations.
One of the things that helps me grow in faith is people watching. Every so often, I will go for a walk in a place where I can see people. Sometimes, I will sit in a park or a food court or some other venue where I can see people. I pray to God to show me what I need to see that day – and he always comes through.
We’ve read that wherever two are gathered in His name, He is there. God showed me that wherever there are two and there is love, then He is there.
I saw you - sitting there wrapped up in your own problems. You tried to hide it from who you were with. I saw the comfort you took in each other. I saw that God fuels those moments, when in darkness there is light. It was watching God work in others that gave me faith.
Daily Battle Order:
Ask God to show you the face of his son, Jesus Christ. Keep your eyes open after you ask. Preferably go somewhere where people have congregated and sit quietly. Above all else, just ask him to show you what you need to see.
many of those we might watch, we should pray over; what the world defines as love may not reflect how God desires us to love one another.
